Chocobos have five ratings: Okay, Nice, Good, Great, Wonderful. These ratings are important both for Chocobo Breeding and for this particular minigame. But it is only through this minigame that you can increase a chocobo’s rating.

Each rating has a certain level of experience required to level up, and each tier of races can net you progressively more points and tokens. Like most things, if your chocobo is already high leveled, they will have an easy time winning low-level races.

Your chocobo rating equals a modifier that will be used to multiply against the race rolls.

Okay = 5
Nice = 10
Good = 15
Great = 20
Wonderful = 25

Take the number corresponding to your Chocobo’s rank, and multiply it by the result of your Discord roll.

For example, if you roll a 1 that means an Okay Chocobo gets 5 points, where a Wonderful Chocobo gets 25 points. (In this manner, an Okay Chocobo must roll a 3 or higher to place in the Chicabo Races, and can never place higher than Second Place, making it very difficult to level up.) You may run three races per check on each chocobo your character owns, and accept points from each. Each race requires a different level of minimum total points to win experience that will go towards leveling up.

Chicabo Races:

1st Place 50 pts, wins 20 EXP + 20 tokens
2nd Place 25 pts, wins 10 EXP + 10 tokens
3rd Place 15 pts, wins 5 EXP + 5 tokens

Fledgling Races:

1st Place 75 pts, wins 30 EXP + 30 tokens
2nd Place 50 pts, wins 20 EXP + 20 tokens
3rd Place 25pts, wins 10 EXP + 10 tokens

Bull Races:

1st Place 100 pts, wins 40 EXP + 40 tokens
2nd Place 75 pts, wins 30 EXP + 30 tokens
3rd Place 50 pts, wins 20 EXP + 20 tokens

Each Rating takes increasingly more EXP to level up.

Okay + 50 EXP = Nice
Nice + 80 EXP = Good
Good + 150 EXP = Great
Great + 200 EXP = Wonderful

For example, an Okay Chocobo could come in 2nd Place at the Chicabo Races five times and level up to Nice.
